Curriculum and Syllabus – Regulation R2020

The B.E. Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) program under Regulation 2020 at Sri Sairam Institute of Technology, an autonomous institution affiliated to Anna University and approved by AICTE, is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in computer science principles while developing advanced expertise in cybersecurity.

The curriculum emphasizes ethical hacking, cryptography, quantum computing, data privacy, and secure software development, preparing students to meet the challenges of the modern digital world. It integrates theoretical concepts with hands-on practical training, research exposure, and industry-driven projects.

Curriculum Highlights

  • Core Courses: Secure Coding, Cryptography and Cyber Security, Distributed and Cloud Security, Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking, Cyber Forensics, Blockchain Technology, and Quantum Algorithms.
  • Professional Electives: Specialized courses such as Cyber Threat Intelligence, Intrusion Detection Systems, Post-Quantum Cryptography, Cyber Law and Policy, and Quantum Cyber-Physical Systems Security.
  • Laboratory Courses: Cyber Attack Lab, Cloud Security Lab, Penetration Testing Lab, Quantum Lab, and Cyber Forensics Lab for real-time technical exposure.
  • Live-in-Lab and Projects: Students participate in project-based learning through Live-in-Lab courses, mini-projects, and major capstone projects during the final year.
